Facilitator Consultations in Three States
Since the beginning of February, the Center for Pentecostal Leadership and Care
has conducted Pastoral Covenant Group Facilitator Consultations in three states/regions:
Alabama, Northern Ohio, and Southern Ohio.
The mutual exchange of reports and insights between group Facilitators and the
Center's administrative team are helping to shape the ongoing development and advancement
of the Making Connections project.
Reflecting on the impact that the Pastoral Covenant Group initiative is having in
Alabama, Ernest Quinley comments, "A seed of trust has been planted, and it is
growing. Participants are actually communicating with one another during the month,
whereas they never did that before."
Bobby Newman notes, "I am seeing an optimism with pastors that I haven't seen
before. I am seeing hope."
Dr. James P. Bowers, Dr. Milton Carter, and Dr. Randy Turpin are serving as facilitators
of the state/regional consultations. Additional Facilitator Consultations will be conducted in
Eastern North Carolina and Florida by the end of February, and others have been scheduled
for March.
