Pastoral Excellence Celebrated

The Center's Sustaining Pastoral Excellence and Making Connections initiatives were highlighted and celebrated in several ways during the 2006 General Assembly in Indianapolis.

On Monday, July 24th, approximately 300 pastors and leaders gathered for the Covenant Pastoral Leadership celebration banquet. Special guests included Dr. G. Dennis McGurie and Dr. John Wimmer, program director of the religion division of Lilly Endowment.

On Friday, July 28th, the General Assembly passed a resolution commending the Church of God Theological Seminary's Center for Pentecostal Leadership and Care for its promotion of pastoral health and excellence. The full text of that resolution may be viewed via a pdf download.
