Southwest Hispanic Expansion

In partnership with the Center for Pentecostal Leadership and Care, the USA Southwest Hispanic Region is expanding the Pastoral Covenant Group initiative this fall.

Under the leadership of Administrative Bishop Dr. David Rameriz and Regional PCG Coordinator Pastor Enrique Orellana, the Southwest Hispanic Region will have five Pastoral Covenant Groups in place this fall.

Last year the region had one pilot group serving pastors in southern California. This year, approximately 50 pastors in California and Arizona will participate in the five groups led by facilitators Samuel Villfana, Eliu Burgueno, Miguel Cavalieri, Rodolfo Alatorre, and Enrique Orellana.

In addition to providing care, support, and encouragement for pastors, Pastoral Covenant Groups provide a "safe place" where pastors can pursue personal renewal and excellence in pastoral ministry.

Dr. James Bowers, Academic Dean/Executive Director stated,

We are pleased to continue our partnership in this ministry for pastors that began last year under the leadership of Dr. Fidencio Burgueno and Pastor Enrique Orellana. We believe this expansion of the project in the Southwest Hispanic Territory will significantly advance efforts to strengthen pastors in the region and will provide many opportunities for their pastoral leadership development.
